Drawers You Need To Know: If you are already familiar with drawers, you can probably skip this entire page. If you are not, read on. Drawers are a novel feature of the OSX interface. A drawer is a special kind of window that is attached to a parent window. When the drawer is activated, it opens by appearing to slide out from behind the parent window. You can generally close a drawer by selecting whatever button or menu item opened the drawer, or you can drag the drawer closed by its outer border. Drawers have some funny rules -- a drawer is not supposed to be larger than its parent window. As a result, if you want a drawer to be wider than its current limit, you have to make the window larger first.
